Antonia Schreiber (*1984 in Munich) received her first harp instruction at the age of 11. She then continued her studies at the Music Academy in Munich with Helga Storck, where she passed her Artist’s Diploma with distinction. Until 2010, she continued her studies with Charlotte Balzereit in Vienna. Mastercourses with Germaine Lorenzini, Isabelle Moretti, Isabelle Moretti and Sarah O’Brien have furthered her artistry.

Antonia Schreiber has won numerous prizes at international competitions and has been supported by foundations such as the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben and the Villa Musica Mainz. She has had solo guest appearances with orchestras such as MDR Sinfonieorchester Leipzig and the Staatsoper Braunschweig.

Chambermusic, Orchestra & more

Aside from her commitments as a soloist, Antonia is a very engaged chamber musician. She formed a Duo with Ingolf Turban (Violin), with whom she has been performing together since 2009. In 2010 she co-founded the Auros-Trio and they have been coached by François Leleux and Christina Bianchi. The trio has performed many successful concerts, such as in the Library Hall Polling.

From November 2013, Antonia Schreiber will be first solo harpist at the Guerzenich Orchestra Cologne, Germany.
In the seasons from 2008 – 2011 Antonia Schreiber played in the Vienna State Opera as well as with the Vienna Philharmonic. She has furthered her orchestral experience as a scholarhsip recipient in the orchestra academy of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition, she was a member of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra.

Antonia Schreiber is equally engaged in performing contemporary music. For example she participated in the premieres of works by composers such as Sir Harrison Birtwhistle and Wolfram Buchenberg.

The support of the PE-Förderkreis in Mannheim enabled her to purchase her concert instrument.
